Last week saw us do one of our live webcasts in a slightly different way from normal.
Working with Inverness Chamber Of Commerce we had a group of around 30 people at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness watching a live web broadcast from Glasgow. The broadcast featured Alasdair Northrop, editor of the Scottish Business Insider.
We broadcast a live chat with Alasdair discussing his views on a wide range of business topics, particularly looking at how these issues impact on the Highlands & Islands of Scotland. During the broadcast the audience in Inverness were able to ask Alasdair questions live, adding a real sense of engagement for all present.
The whole event went down really well and we were delighted with the audience’s reactions. It was also fun to see inside the studio at the Daily Record building in Glasgow, which was a great place to film. Although we do have to be honest and say that in spite of the fact that we pride ourselves on our technical knowhow and can do attitude, we couldn’t work out how to switch off the air conditioning. So if you do hear a wee bit of a buzz in the audio of the “watch again” on this page, it’s our fault. Next time we’ll get an expert to help with the air conditioning!!!
Finally a big thanks to Alasdair, he was a great guest and if you haven’t read any of his stuff in Insider you really should!!
